What is Kambô?

Traditionally used by indigenous tribes of the Amazon, Kambô is an ancient natural medicine taken from the secretion of the Amazonian Tree Frog and used for healing the mind, body, and soul. Now available to you here, in central Scotland.

Ethically-Sourced

As certified Advanced Kambô Practitioners, we honour and treat the medicine with the deepest respect and gratitude for the Matsés tribe.  It's vital to know where the medicine is sourced and that it supports the tribe. This is something we both hold very strongly in our work. Kambô is powerful medicine, so it's really important to find practitioners who hold the space strongly & respectfully.

Benefits of Kambô

Scientifically, the peptides found in Kambô wake up the body’s natural ability to heal itself on a cellular level. After experiencing Kambô, people often see massive energetic shifts in their lives - from dramatic improvements in physical health to reductions in depression and addictions, to relief from chronic pain and major illnesses.

There are different ways to work with Kambô.  There are protocols that can be tailor-made to help you come off anti-depressants, overcome addictions, and also helping people with pain relief for end-of-life care.  With end-of-life care, the accepted way is generally to be sedated with medication. Kambô can offer a more natural transition with clarity and less distress.

How does Kambô help you?

A beautiful medicine that works with the body, it increases compassion and emotional stability. After the ceremony, people report feeling more calm, present, & aligned.

Anti-Inflammatory

Scientists who have studied peptides in Kambô have found it to be one of the most potent antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, and anti-viral substances known to man. Kambô contains multiple anti-microbial peptides effective against drug-resistant strains of bacteria, fungi, protozoa, parasites, and virus.

Biological

The bioactive peptides and neuropeptides present in Kambô cover a wide range of potential medical uses including depression, migraines, blood circulation problems, fertility issues, hepatitis, and brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson's.

Cellular Support

The peptides form hormone-like tasks while others provide vital support to cellular processes. Some of these peptides have a potent effect on the gastrointestinal muscles, gastric and pancreatic secretions, blood circulation, and on the stimulation of the adrenal cortex and pituitary gland.

Spiritual

Spiritually, Kambô has been used to treat 'panema', which is defined as heavy, dark, or negative energies that manifest illness, disorder, clouded mind, depression, or bad luck (as the indigenous would call it).

This energy is an obstacle for us in expressing our potential. By removing 'panema', the individual is able to move forward with lighter energy, more freedom, better health, and vitality, in better physical and mental condition. Enhancing the immune system and cognitive and mental functioning.

What to expect from a Kambô Ceremony?

Kambô is used in a ceremonial format where your intention is also the medicine. As advanced practitioners, we remain close to the participants in order to facilitate the releases - emotionally & physically.

We hold regular group ceremonies of up to 8 people in Methven, near Pert, in Central Scotland. Private ceremonies are also available on request. When booking your place, you will first go through a consultation process involving a health check form to ensure the medicine is suitable for you.

What happens during the ceremony?

We will start by making small superficial burns lightly on the skin.  This removes the top layer of the skin to open the gate into the lymphatic system where the medicine is applied.

Just before applying the medicine, you will be required to drink water.  The water is a very important part of the purging process as it helps release toxins and 'panema' from the body.

Once the medicine has been applied you will feel it very quickly with a warmth in your body, increased heart rate, and pressure in your head.  These are very normal and it's at this point the Kambô is scanning your body to see where it needs to go.

You will then sit with the medicine, connect with your breath and allow the process. The medicine meets you where you are at in that moment.

Everyone's experience is different and every time is different.  It's an intense experience but can also be a beautiful one, lasting between 20 and 40 minutes.

There is usually a purge within that time of purging the water, going to the toilet, or an emotional release.  Once the medicine has been removed you will lie down and rest.

Private Kambô Ceremonies

We offer regular group ceremonies (between 5 and 10 people) throughout the year. If you'd prefer to experience the medicine alone or just with a friend, we offer private ceremonies on request. Group Ceremonies: £95 per person
